To celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, Professor of Art and Photography at De Montfort University, Lala Meredith-Vula will give a talk about their recent research work, ‘Persona: Women and Water’ which is part of the exhibition 'atmospheres' in the gallery until 23 March.

There will be virtual guided tour of the gallery which will include work by the other artists showing in the group show. This will give you a unique opportunity to see Lala’s work in exhibition.

Lala, an international exhibiting artist and professor, has explored many interpretations of the themes of Persona, starting with the ‘Persona Explored’ series which was first showcased in Damien Hirst’s Freeze in 1988. Here, in Women and Water, a series ongoing since 1996, themes around women are explored and questioned.
