- Against a quiet sky
- Amidst the sea of time
- As we near the ocean roar
- Beneath the summer skies
- Between cliffs and rushing waters
- Cloud-like islands, grey in mists
- Cutting the bar
- Deepening shadows among trembling wings
- Diamonds of summer
- Far shaded by the rocky shore
- Galloping across the sky
- Great adventure
- Hidden away on the hill
- I let my hands fall to the sea
- Lingering along a pebbled coast
- On the shore of evening
- Out past everything
- Reaching the other shore
- Restless sea of darkest blue
- Sea-washed, sunset gates
- Shower of blossoms
- Sky-pavilioned land
- Storm riding into the cove
- The day's last chase
- The first wave of the rising tide
- The hot air danced across it
- The land I walked
- The long calm, the darkness, the swell
- The mighty wind rises roaring seawards
- The quietest places
- The whole of night clings to its shores
- The wintry surges swell
- Where leans the lichen stone
- Your statue throws its shadow beyond the furthest wave

David first showed with the gallery in our exhibition, 'Contemporary Cornwall Painting' in the spring of 2025 and will present a highly anticipated solo show here in April - May 2026. "Through my painting I aim to express something of the sensory experience of being in the landscape. Living and working in the far west of Cornwall is uniquely inspirational. Daily walks on the coast path near my studio provide a visual stimulation that can't help but find its way onto the canvas. I work in an intuitive and gestural way, burying and unearthing marks and textures through an energetic process of destruction and excavation, which mirrors the acts of nature on the landscape. Through the process I explore surface, shape, colour, texture, composition and mark-making to articulate and form images which express my experiences in the Cornish landscape."
