The Graduate Art Show: See work by some of the UK’s most exciting new art graduates

24 February - 11 March 2023
The debut appearance in Salisbury of the Graduate Art Show which takes place in London every October and showcases work by graduates from all over the country.

Every year, a new generation of art graduates leaves art schools and universities all over the country to embark on practising careers as artists. It can be a challenging transition. The leap from undergraduate and masters' programmes to the commercial art world brings opportunities, but also challenges. Financial considerations come into play as does the search for representation or support from commercial galleries.

Taking place every year in October during Frieze London, the Graduate Art Show provides a platform for young artists to reach viewers and collectors. Under the direction of founders Dr Anand Saggar and Victoria Charlton, it invites submissions from BA and MA graduates of prestigious institutions across the UK.

The 2022 selection was on show in two renowned Fitzrovia galleries, Woolff gallery in Charlotte Street and Zari gallery in Newman Street. From the hundreds of submissions received, 50 artists were selected for the 2022 exhibition.

Now, we are excited to bring work by more than 20 of the 50 artists who showed in London to Salisbury, from schools including Central Saint Martins, Liverpool Hope University, Goldsmiths, the Slade School of Fine Art and the Royal College of Art.

Working with Victoria and Salisbury curator Dina Bulavina, we have made a fresh selection of work which showcases the extraordinary energy and diversity of talent of these new graduates.
